The Steering Your Way To Better Health Contest is open to licensed CDL drivers ages 18 and over. Contest entrants must be residents of the United States or its territories. Employees or dependents of employees of Espyr are not eligible to participate. There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.
By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
Contestants can enter the Contest by registering on fittopass.com. Competition starts January 11, 2021 and ends February 20, 2021 at 5:00PM EST.
The first 150 registrants will receive a Fit to Pass beanie. Allow 4-6 weeks from the beginning of the Contest for delivery.
All contestants are encouraged to download a copy of The Trucker Trainer’s six-week training manual on strength training and preparation for the competition. The manual can be found at fittopass.com/steering-contest-training-manual.
The Contest is a strength competition. Prizes will be awarded to the drivers with the highest number of squats performed in one continuous, uninterrupted set as determined by the judges. This is a virtual competition; the honor system is in play. Contestants will submit a video clip to thetrucker.com/steeringtobetterhealth as verification of the number of squats performed. The judges are allowed to disqualify anyone that appears to have altered their video submission.
Contestants can submit as many videos as they’d like over the six-week contest period, however the final video submitted in week six (week beginning February 14, 2021 and ending February 20, 2021) will be the official entry into the Contest. The winners are determined by the total number of squats performed in the last video submitted in week six. (Winners are not determined by the accumulative number of squats over the six-week period.) Judges will only count squats performed in one continuous, uninterrupted set.
There are two separate divisions: one for male drivers and one for female drivers. Prizes will be distributed to the top 3 finishers in each of the male and female divisions. The prizes are as follows:
Grand prize – A set of 2 Michelin® X Line Energy Z Steering Axle Tires, plus a set of 2 Alcoa® Lightweight Champion Wheels (© 2020 Howmet Aerospace Inc. I further agree to release and to hold harmless Espyr and any other agents or sponsors on whose premises the Contest will occur (hereinafter the “Location”) and the respective directors, officers, representatives, members, agents, contractors and employees and any other agents or sponsors (hereinafter collectively “Releasees”) from any and all liability whether caused by negligence of the Releasees or otherwise for any claim, judgment, loss, liability, cost and expenses (including, without limitations, attorney’s fees and costs) arising out of or connected with the Steering Your Way To Better Health Contest, including any claim arising out of or connected with any illness or injury (minimal, serious, catastrophic and/or death) that I may incur or sustain during my participation in the Contest and all activities associated with the Contest. I further expressly agree to indemnify and hold harmless Releasees and Releasees’ heirs, successors, assigns, executors and administrators against loss from any further claims, demands or actions that may subsequently be brought by me or by any other persons on the account of damages of any character resulting to me in any way from the foregoing activities.
I hereby state that I suffer from no known conditions that would or should prevent me from participating in the Steering Your Way To Better Health Contest.
Media Release
I understand while participating in the Steering Your Way To Better Health Contest that I may be photographed and/or videos that I submit for the Contest may be used for promotional purposes. I agree to allow my photo, video, or film likeness to be used for any legitimate purpose by Espyr, its employees, agents, contractors, producers, sponsors, organizers, and assigns.
I hereby warrant that I have read this Liability Release and Waiver Form in its entirety and fully understand its contents. I am aware that this Participant Release and Waiver Form releases Releasees from liability and contains an acknowledgement of my voluntary participation and knowing assumption of the risk of injury or illness.
